Seyon Verdtzabella (Stanford ’93), our Program Director and a Lead Teacher, has been an early childhood educator in the San Francisco Bay Area since the 90s—teaching at Stanford University’s Bing Nursery School and Peninsula School in Menlo Park, CA. He is passionate about equitable education, educational leadership, especially for change management and empowering educators to achieve durable school improvement. He has authored several presentations for professional conferences exploring early childhood education (ECE) pedagogy, curriculum and environments. Mr. Verdtzabella conferred his MS in Education, specializing in Early Childhood Education, at Capella University, and his BA in Psychology, specializing in Developmental Psychology, at Stanford University.
Nancy Verdtzabella, our Aesthetic Specialist and a Lead Teacher, has been a Teacher and the Librarian at Bing Nursery School, Stanford University, since the late 90s. She is an advocate for children’s right to creative expression and relationship with space and material. With particular focus on children’s aesthetic development, she has authored several presentations for professional conferences exploring early childhood education pedagogy, curriculum, and environments. She organized Bing School’s first resource room, providing reusable materials for children’s play, exploration, inquiry, experimentation, and creativity. Ms. Verdtzabella completed her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, specializing in Educational Leadership, at Pacific Oaks, and her BA in Child Development at Sacramento State.
