Our Programs
Our school year runs from September through May, following the traditional academic calendar. We also offer an optional Summer Program from June to August, consisting of six two-week sessions.
We offer two thoughtfully designed programs that support the unique developmental needs of each age group. Within this structure, children benefit from meaningful peer learning and a strong sense of community. Older students gain confidence as mentors and role models, while younger children are inspired by learning alongside their peers. These natural interactions foster empathy, social skills, and inclusivity, creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Little Explorers
Ages 2 years 5 months – 3 years
Our Little Explorers program nurtures curiosity and supports early growth through play-based, hands-on learning experiences. Children explore their environment, develop independence, and build foundational social and emotional skills in a joyful, supportive setting.
Jr. Explorers
Ages 4 – 6 years
Our Jr. Explorers program includes Transitional Kindergarten (TK) readiness, helping children build academic, social, and independence skills to prepare for kindergarten and beyond. The curriculum blends emergent learning with guided instruction in early literacy, math, and creative exploration.
Our Daily Morning Schedule
Open Exploration (9:00 AM)
Children enjoy two hours of uninterrupted time to engage with their environment, peers, materials, and ongoing projects according to their developmental needs and personal interests. This “gift of time” is central to our educational philosophy. Teachers observe, guide, and extend children’s play while documenting the learning process.
Focus Groups (11:00 AM)
Little Explorers (Ages 2 years 5 months – 3 years)
Children build independence and a love for learning through a project-based curriculum that allows them to explore at their own pace. Guided by their natural interests and curiosity, they develop early problem-solving, communication, and self-help skills in a joyful and engaging environment.
Jr. Explorers (Ages 4 – 6 years)
Our Jr. Explorers program develops skills emphasized in transitional kindergarten, including following routines, building self-sufficiency, and working cooperatively. Children explore letters, shapes, colors, number recognition, early writing, and literacy skills. We integrate Handwriting Without Tears into our emergent curriculum, keeping learning fun, interactive, and developmentally appropriate.
Lunch (11:30 AM)
Children eat food brought from home in small groups, enjoying conversation with peers and teachers about topics relevant to their lives. Occasionally, a shared story or book complements this mealtime experience.
Music Time (12:00 PM, Optional)
While children always have access to musical instruments throughout the day, this dedicated session nurtures a love of music through games, stories, songs, and movement.
Storytelling (12:30 PM)
To conclude the morning, the group gathers for storytelling. Each week, we highlight a Book of the Week, allowing children to explore a story in depth. Through repetition, they develop familiarity with the plot, characters, and emotions—and are inspired to create their own versions of these stories.
Program Concludes (1:00 PM)
